Cassandra Clark

Assistant Director

Cassandra Clark is a Boston-based director, dramaturg, and cinephile making her debut with the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. She is a late graduate of the University of Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Theater. Having a background in dramaturgy cultivated with both the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival in 2017 and the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Dramaturgy Intensive in 2018, Cassandra discovered a passion for directing during her undergraduate years, serving as Chairperson of the UMass Theatre Guild and there directing productions of ‘Chicago, the Musical’ and ‘If-Then: A New Musical’ among others. She is beyond ecstatic to be revisiting Shakespeare with a inspiring group of theatre makers and sends her congratulations to the cast and crew! Lastly, Cassie wants to thank her family, her friends, and her incredible boyfriend for their enthusiasm and unwavering support throughout this process.
