Laura McHugh – Commonwealth Shakespeare Company: Debut. Tulsa Opera: Into the Woods. Odyssey Opera: Of Thee I Sing/Let ‘Em Eat Cake. Awards: 1st Place, Classical Singer National Competition; 1st Place, Vermont Vocal Competition; 2nd Place, Classical Idol; Vocal Recital of the Year, WBUR/ARTery (shared award). She has created roles in multiple World Premiere operas, and frequently brings both classical and contemporary operatic and musical theatre roles to life. Her vocals appear on The Lord of Cries, nominated for the 2024 GRAMMY Award for Best Opera Recording.
