This Giving Tuesday (11/28), our Apprentice Alumni are raising money specifically for scholarships for the Apprentice Program. These scholarships create opportunities for students from all backgrounds to take advantage of a life-changing program that they otherwise might not be able to join. The CSC Apprentice Program is an intensive Shakespeare-focused summer training intensive for early-career actors who are actively pursuing a career in theater. This training runs concurrently with CSC’s signature event, Free Shakespeare on the Common, founded in 1996 by Artistic Director Steve Maler with the vision that Shakespeare “belongs and should be accessible to everyone.”
CSC is all about keeping Shakespeare accessible, and offering scholarships for students to get a world-class Shakespeare education is absolutely vital for accessibility! Every student with a passion for Shakespeare and performance should be able to afford opportunities like this.
Please give $20, or $5, or $50, or more – any amount that means something to you will mean so much to our aspiring artists who deserve a chance to be a part of this amazing program!
